Celebrating Asha

Asha was thrilled to have her birthday while we were on vacation.  We had planned to do a day trip to the east coast to the beach.  It was all she talked about for weeks before we even left for holidays.  Laurie had thought a trip like that would be special and boy it was.

On her birthday we were all up very early to make the drive and since I had not thought of a cake (oops!), Laurie quickly put a candle in a long john donut and we called it the cake.  Asha loved it.

Hard to believe my little girl is SIX.  It seems just like yesterday that she was crawling in that apartment in Fresno, or toddling on the grounds in Santa Cruz.  Time flies and we love our Asha more than ever.
