Today was the last day of school before summer holidays. It's been quite a busy few weeks (I promise, I'll post about our trip and visitors) so the holiday is a welcome break. No more waking up early, no more scrambling for school snack, no more washing school shirts at 12:30 a.m. for the next day. Ah, summer is here!
The last day of school is kind of crazy with the kids painting each other's shirts and faces. Some kids have water fights. This year, Joel's class was calm, with kids just painting nice designs on each others face, no markers on the clothes, and certainly no water fights. Kezia's class however, smeared paint on each other, wrote on each other's shirts, and had a huge water fight.
The kids gave their teachers pictures of themselves, Canada pins and Joel packed up some nice rocks to give his prof's. It was very sweet. We had an excellent year at school. Tomorrow is the closing program, which should be quite amazing. Last year's theme was on caring for the earth, this year's theme, the evolution of communication.
