Two Firsts

Asha took part in two things that she's never done before.  First, she went to Vacation Bible School for the first time.  She had been raving for months about it and was uber excited.  Both my Mom and Frieda were on the planning committee, so she was constantly talking about it with them.  The highlight for her was definitely the singing.  Oh, how she passionately sang and did the actions!

The second thing Asha did was attend Dance Camp.  Asha loves to dance and was excited about going to a day camp all by herself.  It was a bit weird at home not having her around for the whole day (and I really missed her!), but she had a wonderful time learning different types of dances, doing crafts and outdoor activities and making new friends.  At the end of the week, they had a closing program and Joel told her afterwards, "Asha, I expected that your program would be pretty good, but you were absolutely amazing,".  She didn't stop smiling for days.....
