First Day of School

Hard to believe that the school year is upon us once again.  Our kids were excited about starting, but still expressed some of their anxieties.  Joel was nervous to think if there would be any new kids in his class and Asha was concerned about all the hard work.  Kezia was wondering about how she would manage with her locker.

Well, they survived the first week.  Joel and Kezia love being in the same class.  They won't be sitting at the same table, "because that might cause a whole lot a trouble," I was told with a smirk. If there are two siblings that could do well in the same class, it would be those two.

Asha was a bit overwhelmed with all the thinking that she had to do on the first week.  She explained, "We had to think about ideas, and then think about how we would share them and then think about how we could make our ideas real.....ach, too much thinking!"  It will be good for Asha to be in a challenging environment.  Ms. T was Kezia's teacher last year and that woman is amazing.  With her expertise in 5 grades of curricular outcomes, her organization and her warmth, this is a teacher that can accomplish anything with any students.  Asha will blossom in her classroom and already came home with a journal filled with writing on the first day.

Wow.  Another school year has come.  Where does the time go?
