Today is the 100th International Women's Day.
From the official site, "International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, International Women's Day is a national holiday. [It] honours the work of the Suffragettes, celebrates women's success, and reminds of inequities still to be redressed".
And since I love pictures and slideshows, check out the Reuter's slideshow for International Women's Day. There's even a picture of a Bolivian woman protesting the gasoline price rise. You won't be disappointed by the pictures and hopefully they will inspire you to work for the betterment of women, which really in essence is the betterment of us all.
