2 Months!

Our little one is 2 months already and it's been a great month for her. I haven't taken her to the Dr. yet to find out how much she weighs or what her height is, but I'll post that later.

This month Elena found her hands and spends long periods of time looking at her moving fingers. It's quite amazing to watch.

She loves to chew on her tongue and also found her voice. Elena reminds us of a cooing baby pigeon.

She was registered with the government and received her identity card!

Just in the last few days, she'll smile for almost anything; the prospect of having her diaper changed, seeing our faces when she wakes up, right after nursing, small people making weird noises.

And we have discovered she HATES having a wet diaper. Oooooo.....she hollers.

Elena loves going for walks, she's been in many taxis, a bunch of car rides all around the city, and just today, went for her first trip to the market on the bus.

She is starting to enjoy the cuddly wrap more. And likes kicking up a storm in her little bathtub.

Elena has already had make-up applied to her. Joel felt she would be left out if the other girls were applying it. I shudder to think of what the next few months might look like considering we have play make-up, markers, chalk, stickers and plenty of tape....

She has gone to the pool and had her first Father's Day this month.

As of a few days ago, she is sleeping longer at night and becoming more predictable in napping during the day. Could this mean the prospect of more sleep for Mama?

It's been a great month with Elena. I find myself utterly amazed with this lil' gal. So small and yet so utterly in love with her.
