Seven is Perfection

Lil' E is 7 months and just between me and you, I thought her 7 month birthday was on Sunday.  Somehow I got the dates wrong and took her outside for her special photo shoot.  Well, the pictures are so darling who is going to fret over 24 hours?

As usual, it's been a busy month for Elena.  Gosh, she's getting nice and chubby and looks especially succulent in leggings!

Elena was in a parade this month, riding on the Colleges' float
She mastered all the rolling
First time camping with the Heppner family and loved her little PeaPod tent
Off to Pennsylvania, another plane ride!
Elena can do the downward dog
She had a nasty rash on her head, which was Strep A which turned into Scarlet Fever.  Ack!! But with antibiotics, she was fine
Not so sure about drinking meds from a syringe though....
On her Pennsylvania trip she learned to sit up and go from lying to sitting on her bum
Loved her babysitters at the re-entry retreat and meeting all the MCC Akron folks
Started eating lots of food like Applesauce, Sweet Potato, Apricots, Rice Casserole, Pears, Squash, Bread, Peas, Potatoes, Curry and Chickpeas and Ice Cream
Elena LOVES being at the table to eat with us and growls when she wants to taste something
Sported Overalls for the first time
Elena has definitely found her voice and loves to screech and yell, especially if she realizes it makes an echo
Still loves to chew on things, but no teeth yet
Learned how to crawl! and loves to make her way around to find cords and bits of paper on the floor
Elena likes cats and really really really prefers to be with her Mom

It's quite interesting to see her personality emerge more and more.  She's definitely a content child, fairly happy most of the time, but she doesn't give her smiles away for free.  Elena and Kezia have a special connection, which is touching to see.  She is starting to enjoy carseats more, now that she has one that allows her to see outside.  If you look at her from across the room, she just beams!  And Elena loves to stick things in her mouth, especially glasses, since pointy necklaces were oh-so-last-month!
