For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Rom. 8:24-25

This was something that resonated with me a couple of days ago as I pondered this waiting stage that we are in. And it also struck me as we are in a season of advent, of waiting for the Christ child's birth.
Sometimes, well almost all the time, waiting is agonizing. Whether we are anticipating something absolutely amazing or dreading something like going to the dentist. My prayer has been that in this time of waiting, instead of wishing it would pass quickly, to wait in the timing of the Lord and wait patiently. For who knows what he has for us......

mmmm...good thoughts. triggers another verse "those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength...." waiting on our own strength --- agonizing.....waiting on the strength that can only be devine --- draws us closer to his heart. i am in the midst of learning this one. (and relearning -- lol!)
